Integrative CBT Therapy in Berlin
Are you looking for an English-speaking therapist in Berlin? As a licensed psychotherapeutic counsellor (Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie) in Berlin, I offer integrative Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and individual counselling tailored to your unique needs.
Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, Burnout, and Stress
If you're feeling exhausted from adjusting to a new country or constantly moving as an immigrant, I offer practical strategies and emotional support to help you navigate this life stage more smoothly.
If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, or intrusive thoughts, CBT therapy has proven effectiveness in addressing these issues. If you're dealing with chronic stress and sleep problems, feeling drained by perfectionism and on the verge of burnout; or on the other hand, stuck in procrastination with no energy for anything — we can work together to improve your well-being.
Additionally, we can explore unresolved childhood trauma that may still be affecting your self-esteem, relationships, and mental health.
Relationship Therapy
Many people come to therapy during moments of relationship pain.
Whether you're navigating a break-up, dealing with betrayal, or feeling stuck in a partnership — therapy can help you slow down, understand your feelings, and find your next steps.
I offer individual therapy for people who are:
- Going through a break-up or divorce.
- Struggling with trust, jealousy, attachment, or emotional dependency.
- Processing infidelity or betrayal.
- Feeling alone or unseen in their relationship.
- Repeating painful patterns and wanting something different.
- Exploring open, polyamorous, or non-monogamous relationships and looking for clarity or support.
I don’t offer couples therapy, but I support individuals in making conscious choices about love, intimacy, and emotional safety.
LGBT+-Friendly Therapy
As a queer therapist, my practice is LGBTQ+ affirming. You can explore your identity and experiences in a safe, non-judgmental space. Whether you're navigating relationships (including non-monogamy and polyamory), internalised stigma, coming out, or any aspect of your queer identity, I’m here to support you with compassion and understanding.
Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy: ADHD and Autism-Informed CBT
If you have ADHD, are on the autism spectrum, or identify as neurodivergent or neuroqueer, I offer a modified CBT approach designed to embrace neurodiversity. Together, we can discover your unique strengths while addressing challenges like masking, sensory sensitivity, communication skills, and structuring daily routines. My goal is to help you build and maintain a meaningful relationship with yourself and others.
Please note that I do not provide a formal medical diagnoses for ADHD or Autism. However, I can guide you through the German healthcare system to access professional diagnostic assessments.
My Approach: Integrative CBT and Third-Wave Methods
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a proven, evidence-based approach that helps you identify and reshape negative thought patterns and behaviours. Through CBT, we work together to develop practical tools for managing stress, overcoming anxiety and depression, and improving your overall mental well-being. Through collaborative efforts between therapist and client, CBT helps individuals develop practical skills to effectively cope with challenges, manage stress, and overcome obstacles. By addressing distorted thinking and maladaptive behaviours, CBT empowers individuals to break free from cycles of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, leading to improved emotional resilience and a greater sense of control over one’s life.
I practice an integrative form of CBT, drawing from the principles of Third Wave CBT, which includes elements of Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and humanistic methods. This approach allows for deeper exploration of values, acceptance of emotions, and fostering greater psychological flexibility. Additionally, I incorporate foundational insights from psychoanalysis to explore unconscious patterns. This combination makes my approach adaptable to a wide range of client needs.
